As for’the founder of modern management’, Peter F. Drucker influences business and enterprise managers by his excellent management theory and management thought. Libertinism in his management theory is throughout the management ideology system. Drucker has always emphasized human freedom, and has proposed that human freedom is a kind of responsible freedom. Only under the premise of being responsible for yourself and for other members of the organization can we discuss freedom. The fact that Drucker encourages employees self-management and self-control, and respects employees’freedom and rights makes his theory widely recommended by organizations like enterprises as well as governments for ages.To begin with the background of Drucker and the theoretical sources of libertinism in Drucker management, this paper analyzes the main content of libertinism. It expands the discussion in terms of target management and self-management. With regard to target management, it discusses from self-control, participatory management and achievement motivation. On self-management, it refers to self-awareness and self-expectation, self-fulfillment and self-achievement, self-renewal and self-reinvention. This paper emphasizes the inherent relationship in Drucker’s libertinism:target management enables enterprises to achieve scientific development, self-management promotes individual self-improvement. Each element has its strengths and weaknesses, and they interact with each other in management practice. In conclusion, their common goal is the same as the practical target of Drucker’s libertinism, that is to build a free and functional society.Nowadays, the level of corporate management in China is not advanced enough. Compared with developed countries, there are still many gaps. For example, there exists issues relating to freedom of management and many deficiencies in management method. Drucker Management is profound and enduring in the history. Libertinism is not only basic value of its Management Ethics, but also throughout the entire management ideas and practices. To absorb the essence of Freethinking and to implement it in corporate management has positive impact and significant meaning for the growth of employees, development of enterprises and realization of social responsibility.
