Food Beverage Service and Management course is a highly practical course whichcombines knowledge and skills.The development of the times requires students to master both the theoretical knowledge and the practical skills well. And the traditional teaching model is powerless to change things now. During teaching, I found that Task Based Learning with the guidance of constructivist theory is a kind of active method that the students learn actively at the same time the teachers guide them,which breaks the traditional teaching methods. It no longer focuses on a gradual learning and accumulation of old routines and makes the students learn the teaching content from the easy to the difficult. The teaching tasks are completed through the method of finishing the task one by one as a driver to carry out teaching, which is very suitable for our vocational school students.This study used the experimental study, questionnaires,and statistical methods, which be used in teaching practice for task driven research was done in the class.After pre-test the author selected three classes of Grade one in my school as the experimental classes and the control classes. According to the actual situation of the school, I conducted the quasi-experimental study with the guidance of school curriculum standards of Food Beverage Service and Management and learning theory. I analyzed the data from the angle of statistics and science to draw conclusions.Task Based Learning for Food Beverage Service and Management teaching method has a very good foundation,but all teachers of teaching Hotel Management understood the surface of the Task Based Learning methods mostly before which leads to an unsatisfied class.After the author summed up the experiences related to teaching experiment,the class effect was greatly improved. It indicates the Task Based Learning teaching method is feasible and necessary in Food Beverage Service and Management teaching class of vocational school.
