A Report On Interpretation For Procurement Meeting On Chinese Building And Home Decoration Materials 2015 (for Vietnamese Buyers) In 12th China-ASEAN EXPO

Since 2004, China-ASEAN EXPO (CAEXPO) has been successfully held for 12 years, and this year is the 12th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership between China and ASEAN. For 12 years, CAEXPO, as an important platform for exchanges and cooperation between ASEAN countries and China, has made significant achievements in promoting China’s opening up to the outside world and cooperation with ASEAN. At the same time, China and ASEAN as a whole has been gradually expanding the communication with outside economies, which provides broader business opportunities to participate in economic cooperation in Asian-Pacific region as well as the global economic cooperation.This report is based on the writer’s interpreting experience in Procurement Meeting on Chinese Building and Home Decoration Materials 2015 (for Vietnamese and Cambodian buyers) in the 12th China-ASEAN EXPO. This was the writer’s first interpreting practice, from which, the writer has deeply realized that preparation, note-taking, short memory, mentality, cooperation with speakers, etc. are affected with each other as a system, on one can be neglected for an interpreter. That’s why the writer choose this practice as the research materials with a hope to inspire interpreting study and practice of beginners.
