The Influence Of Photovoltaic Power Generation Project To Rural Communities

Photovoltaic power generation can be developed in vast areas of wasteland and slope in rural areas of China. Supportive policies have been introduced by the state for poverty alleviation through developing photovoltaic power, aiming to improve living standard of rural communities at the same time. This thesis has comprehensively analyzed effects of photovoltaic power generation will take to rural communities in the perspective of social-economy and ecological benefits, expecting that photovoltaic power generation will better serve for rural communities by solving energy predicament, having green environment, guaranteeing living of rural residents, and creating a new world in regional development.Framework and main content of this thesis are as follows. Chapter I is introduction, briefed research background, current research status, literature reviews, and proposed insufficient of research in this issue. Chapter II overviewed photovoltaic power generation programs in China, elaborated reasons for developing photovoltaic power, supportive policies and also raised some questions. Chapter III introduced distributed ground photovoltaic power system in rural communities, and analyzed from energy demand, distribution of solar energy resources, and example of photovoltaic power generation project in a rural community. Chapter IV discussed influence of photovoltaic power generation has taken to rural communities, analyzing from economy, social, and eco effects of the example community. Chapter V summarized the research with a conclusion, and also proposed some countermeasures and suggestions to promote photovoltaic power generation industry.Main point of this thesis is that photovoltaic power generation project will take profound influence for rural communities in aspects of economy, social, and eco environment. In economy area, it will increase income from land rent, employment, income from leisure tourism; promoting upgrading of industrial structure, industrial development. In the aspect of social benefit, it will improve efficiency of poverty alleviation, improve living standard, promoting social harmony, and set up a positive attitude in rural communities. In aspect of ecological effect, it will help to achieve the goal of energy conservation and emission reduction, restore eco environment, save materials, save land resources. To maximum the benefits, many things should be done, including complete laws and regulations, formulate criteria, commit responsibility, ensure policy guidance, perfect management system, improve work efficiency, encourage financial innovation, facilitate financiering, sound regulation system, guarantee quality and safety, develop with well planning, and avoid wasting of resources.
