| Recently, improvement of citizen’s income leve led to an increase in mutton demand. Therefore, more and more farmers were engaged in the mutton sheep breeding. Driven by profits, many farmers adopted stocking method and caused the destruction of the ecological environment.WuChuan was identified as mutton sheep industry Demonstration County in the national sheep industry system. WuChuan mutton was one of three famous things. WuChuan County was located in the ecotone between farming and animal husbandry in a fragile ecological environment. Regeneration ability of grassland resources cannot meet the needs of mutton sheep industry development.In this paper, WuChuan County mutton sheep industry was the research object. With industry economics, ecology and policy, the author delved into sustainable developmentof mutton sheep industry in WuChuan County by using the methods of consulting literature materials, quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, and comparative analysis. The purpose of this paper was to explore a suitable way of sustainable development for WuChuan County mutton sheep industry. First of all, this paper summarized and analyzed the status of mutton sheep industry in WuChuan County. This laid the foundation for the research. Secondly, the author built sustainable development index system, evaluated and concluded WuChuan County mutton sheep industry sustainable development coordination degree. Then, the author analysed promotion and constraining factors of WuChuan County mutton sheep industry sustainable development with the method of SWOT. Finally, the author put forward the suggestions and countermeasures for the sustainable development of WuChuan County mutton sheep industry, according to the evaluation result and SWOT analysis. |
