In the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, it is emphasized that under current poverty criterion, which is applied during 2011 to 2020 in which the poverty criterion of rural area is 2,300 yuan per capita per year based on the price level of 2010, impoverished people in rural areas will be saved from poverty, the name of poor counties will be removed, and regional overall poverty will be overcome by 2020. Thus, it has great practical significance to study poverty issue under this background. Resettlement area is a unique poverty-stricken area. After the environment has changed, farmer’s feelings of poverty have changed as well. It has direct correlation with the degree of satisfaction of poverty alleviation policies. Therefore, it is of great value to take factors of subjective poverty into consideration when making public policies. The dissertation includes 300 observations from 4 resettlement areas in Ningxia, uses OLS and cross analysis to evaluate the criterion of subjective poverty of rural households in resettlement area, and uses limited dependent variable model to study the influencing factors of subjective poverty. On such grounds, the dissertation brought up policy advice for the development of poor area, and raised related suggestion according to the particularity of resettlement area. There are three innovative points: the first is innovation of research perspective. The dissertation selects the subjective feelings of poor farmers as the entry point. The second is innovation of research contents, which include evaluation of subjective poverty criterion and study of influencing factors of subjective poverty. The third is innovation of methodology. In the dissertation, OLS and limited dependent variable model are both applied in solving subjective poverty issues.Main structure of the dissertation is as follows:Chapter One is Introduction; Chapter Two is Research Progress and Methodology; Chapter Three is Evaluation and Analysis of Subjective Poverty Criterion of Farmers; Chapter Four is Empirical Analysis of the Influencing Factors of Subjective Poverty; and Chapter Five is Conclusion and Suggestion.
