Sudden accidents in engineering project construction not only affect the achievement of project objective and cause great economical losses to construction enterprise and project owner, but also may produce adverse social impact. During the construction of engineering projects, the sudden accidents often show the characteristics of randomness,destructive, abruptness and diffusivity. It is a tremendous challenge to accident disposal for construction enterprise. The emergency management of engineering project construction enterprises in China is enhanced. However, the sudden accidents’ dispose is lack of scientific management and has not yet formed system of theory in the field of academic research. According to the sudden accident management present situation of large-scale engineering project in our country, the paper attempts to introduce project management, accident and emergency management and system management theory, as well as relevant analysis method to study the engineering project emergency management,and discuss the characteristics, causes and emergency management of the sudden accidents in large-scale project construction, in order to provide support for large engineering construction to develop scientific contingency management method.First of all, from the perspective of system theory the paper studies the influence factors of sudden accident of large engineering projects in the construction process as the breakthrough point, to find that the system complexity of the project is the risk origin of accidents in large-scale project construction. Secondly, on the basis of this research we study the basic characteristics and category of the emergency management, and put forward organization operation system of emergency management in large-scale engineering project through the analysis of dynamic management, resource allocation,comprehensive coordination of emergency resources and the management ability. Thirdly,based on the condition of 22 MCC Group Corporation, the paper identifies the existing problems and analyzes the causes of the problem through analyzing its emergency management ability and resources situation, then lays the management foundation for improving the group company’s emergency management level and the ability of fast response for sudden accidents. Finally, according to theoretical guidance and actual situation of 22 MCC Group Corporation, we develop systematic management measures forthe company to improve emergency management ability.
