The Study Of Government Responsibility Of The Food Safety Management In China

Food safety is such fundamental related to civil’ basic human rights, so our government emphasizes food safety and established series of policies and laws such as Food Safety Law of People’s Republic of China to ensure it. However, for reasons like food supplies lacking self-regulation, collusions between benefits sharers, lack of food safety system and government’s malfeasance, food safety is still a serous problem to some extent. Food safety problem threats people’s health, Socialist market economic order, makes society unstable.The root of food safety problem is government’s malfeasance; lack off ood safety system makes it even worse situation. Food safety is public good has to be provided by the government, so its necessary to research the role of government in solving food safety problem.This thesis analyses the role of government in solving food safety problem by generalizing current food safety research and local ruling measures, referring foreign experiences, and insisting human-oriented concept. According to Ruling the country by law, Food Safety Law of People’s Republic of China will be this thesis’ main reference to introduce governments’ role in politics, law, economy,culture. And this thesis will give the possible solutions in four sections step by step.Section A Preface, to give the research background and meaning, the thesis structure and methods.Section B Theories, to do the theoretical analyses of relating food safety and government responsibility, and establish the structure of the thesis.Section C Status, to illustrate how serious the food safety it is now, and why it is so serious now. And provide samples and basis for the further research.Section D Government responsibility and practice, according to Food Safety Law of People’s Republic of China, and the samples provided before, disclose the government responsibility in food safety problem and try to give the possible solutions.
