With the developing of human society, from the industrial era into the era of knowledge, human capital has become the most competitive element of pro duction. In 1960, Schultz delivered a speech of the investment of human capita l, which made human capital researched as an independent discipline.The investment of human capital directly affects the operating cost of ente rprises, which affects the profit. So it is so important to seek a balance betwe en investment in human capital and business performance. With the advent of knowledge economy, enterprises are facing the external market environment cha nges, frequent technological upgrading changes. So if you want to get long-ter m competitiveness, the only way is to enhance yourself to innovate. Compared to traditional enterprises, high-tech enterprise is knowledge-intensive and techn ology-intensive, which is the foundation of its existence. At the same time, kn owledge and technology existing in the human body and mind can help people to take the initiative to participate in labor and production activities, to create value and performance for the enterprise. It follows that human capital is the core of high-tech enterprises.The paper collecting a lot of data and up to 60 public technology compan ies as the research object, has come to the conclusion that investment in huma n capital has correlation with performance in high-tech enterprises.Meanwhile, this paper introduces the a case of company named A, about t he basic situation of Human Capital Investment to analyze the performance of the status quo, using linear regression and correlation analysis, getting the conc lusions mentioned above. And according to the present situation of human capi tal of A, the author propose appropriate measures to improve the situation, incl uding the upgrading of enterprise human capital stock, increasing the number o f staff training, improving the enterprises’ salary system and achieving more im prove job management system.
