The Empirical Research Of The Relationship Between Enterprise Status And Capability Of Independent Innovation In The Supply Chain

In the economic globalization day, the division of labor within the industry and even within the product division has become a global trend. Previous decades, relying on cheap labor and cost advantage of domestic manufacturing, China assigned a share in international cooperation. But now, with the improvement of the socio-economic level, the domestic labor costs gradually increased, the traditional manufacturing industry is facing enormous challenges. Under this background, the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing is imperative. Training on independent innovation capability of enterprises as the most critical means on the road of upgrading, can it generate actual impact for the position of manufacturing enterprises in the supply chain, and what effect will this bring for the operation of enterprises in turn, which are herein explored. In this paper, the related data of manufacturing enterprises in GEM and SEM from 2011 to 2013 were collected and analyzed, and made an empirical analysis of the relationship between enterprise status and capability of independent innovation in the supply chain with the use of single-phase linear regression model and simultaneous equations model.The results showed that:(1)To enhance the capability of independent innovation can significantly enhance their status in the supply chain; (2)The enhancement of the status will promote enhance the capability of independent innovation in turn, showing a relationship of promoting each other and reinforcing each other; (3)The financial risk level of manufacturing enterprises is an important factor which will affect the status of enterprise in the supply, and in the upstream and downstream relationships, the improvement of customer concentration is conducive to enhancing the status of the enterprise in the supply chain, while the concentration of suppliers is the opposite; (4)In addition to the impact of supply chain status, the capability of independent innovation is affected by the overall level of employees, the market environment and the government support and so on.This study uses the financial indicators of fund occupation to characterize the status of enterprises in the supply chain, which is a new way based on the traditional portrait of the competitiveness of enterprises, taking full account of the impact brought in the today’s supply chain background. This paper systematically discusses the mechanism of interaction of the status of enterprises in the supply chain and the capability of independent innovation, deepen the understanding of the importance and role to develop the independent innovation capability. The results of this study have some meaning for the play of government functions and the evaluation of the effectiveness of policies when the manufacturing industry is in a critical period of transformation and upgrading.
