China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, China (Tianjin) Pilot Free Trade Zone and China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone were officially established on April 21,2014 which brings the fact that the four pilot free trade zones will play even more important roles in the process of reformation and opening-up. The Free Trade Zone will be bound to play a bigger role as an important carrier of China’s foreign trade in the future. With the successfully closing of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China and Chinese People Consultative Conference, the report on the work of the government delivered by premier Li Keqiang at the third session of the Twelfth National People’s Congress on March 5 has been introduced. After perusing the plan for work in 2015, it is not difficult to find that the construction of free trade zone and financial reform is still the focus of this year. In 2015, the government will work actively to develop pilot free trade zones in Shanghai, Guangdong, Tianjin, and Fujian, and extend good practices developed in these zones to the rest of the country so that such zones become leading reform and opening up areas, each with its own distinctive features. It is not difficult to find that the construction of free trade zone and a new round of financial reform aimed at broadening trade finance is still on the process. As the main professional worl of banks, international trade finance business is based on international trade settlement, which means a series of services to provide liquidity by granting certain varieties of credit financing facilities for importers and exporters. Thus, international trade finance business plays a significant role in international trade settlement growth, and has positive impacts on banks, export and import firms. The third batch of construction of FTZ has also been put on the agenda, strengthened financial liberalization in the process has a profound influence on international trade finance business of China’s banks.In view of this, we study the development strategy of international trade finance business under the background of FTZ, using qualitative and quantitative analysis and combining theoretical a nalysis and practical case studies.Firstly,we introduce the relevant literature review of free trade zone and international trade finance, the current development of the Bank for International trade finance business, as well as business development and financing problems in the process.Secondl y, we do theoretical and empirical analysis to investigate how international trade finance busines s has been affected under the context of FTZ.From the theoretical side, the majority of business f inancing, the social environment and financing risks have changed, which challenges internation al trade finance business a lot.From the empirical side, RMB exchange rate will change under FT Z background and will have influence on international trade finance business.Moreover, we intro duce an example in 2015 of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank to show how international trad e finance business are influenced in the back of Shanghai FTZ.Finally, we put forward of some s uggestions based on the study.Based on the analysis of the development environment and the impact of factors under the free trade zone based on the context of international trade finance business, this paper presents the existing problems of state-owned Bank in the field of international trade finance, after carding these problems this paper puts forward the appropriate development strategies including that state-owned banks should vigorously promote customer-focused financial services innovation which can be designed from the aspects of services, service channels and service models, etc. Finally, this paper suggests that state-owned banks should take strategies to guarantee the development strategies from the aspects of human resources, marketing, risk management and business development strategies.
