With the changes in economic growth and consumer demand, modern business is experiencing structural and regional overcapacity and decreased efficiency, traditional business is urgently facing transformation, and the thematic business is a very important direction in the future transformation. In theme-oriented business, the core content is the format(format in this article mainly discusses the business format structure), because it not only undertakes upper‘Theme’ but also is the basis of lower surface business unit design, which is directly related to the attractiveness, profitability and sustainability of thematic business.However, due to the understanding of the format structure is still not profound enough, the existing thematic business encountered a lot of confusion in the process of transformation and upgrading. Some thematic business exists only in name, which cannot stand the test of the market in the actual operation and face poor traffic, enterprise losses and so on. This is ultimately due to the fact that format structure and the theme is not docked; format structure does not match the configuration of the surface business unit; the local relationship and overall relationship of the format structure is not coordinated. Therefore, this paper will study the key elements of the format structure.Studies for the format structure can be expanded in many ways and this article mainly discusses the topic from the following three aspects, respectively is: the relationship between format structure and theme, the internal relationship in format structure, the relationship between format structure and surface business unit. By analyzing and interpreting these relationships, the orderliness, weighing and other characteristics of the format structure in the design process can be extracted.Under the guidance of the above two technical routes, this paper has concluded a set of basic methods that applicable to the theme commercial space format design, respectively is: format structure design based on theme, on internal relationship and on surface business unit. Formatstructure design based on theme makes a request for the design order standing in the overall perspective--- first complying with the given theme, and then establishing format structure.Format structure design based on the internal relationship classifies and allocates the existing functional parts through the usual "sign plate, main plate, auxiliary plate and supporting plate" according to the actual situation of theme commercial space, highlighting the local personality while maintaining the overall generality. Format structure design based on surface business unit analyzes the consumption demand and behavior and adjusts the format structure through feedback gained by the interaction with the consumers.Research value of this paper is to help theme commercial space tailor a more scientific,reasonable and effective format structure under the restrictions of many factors so that the format structure can conforms to the theme, more fit to the requirements of surface business unit to create more attractive, profitability, sustainability for the theme commercial space and help enterprise stand out from the fierce market competition. It should be emphasized that the format design of theme commercial space is a dynamic, continuous process, and the format structure needs to constantly adjust to changing needs of the audience, competition situation, enterprise resource and other factors in order to better adapt to the market environment.
