Agriculture is the foundation of the national economy, is a combination of social benefits, economic benefits and ecological benefits. With the development of agriculture and agricultural pollution has become China’s most important source of environmental pollution, agricultural pollution accounts for one third of the total pollution in some areas even more than half. Among them, the excessive use of pesticides, fertilizers, mulch is a major factor causing environmental pollution.Therefore, the study of eco-efficiency agriculture, improving agricultural production and the environment, promote agricultural growth, at the same time achieving resource conservation, environmental protection has an important significance. In this paper, cultivated land use eco-efficiency evaluation model is built under directional distance function, using Poyang Lake region’s panel data to estimates of cultivated land use eco-efficiency in the 2012-2014. Assessing eco-efficiency levels of prefecture-level city in Poyang Lake Ecological Economic Zone, the results showed that:The first: The overall level of eco-efficiency is not high in the arable land use of Poyang Lake region, the results from the three groups of the direction vector calculation can be learned, there are about twenty percent of room for improvement of cultivated land use eco-efficiency. Description of cultivated land use in the process, due to the use of agricultural production without adequate resources, advanced technology, there is no emphasis on environmental dimension makes less eco-efficiency.Second: Arable land use eco-efficiency are obvious differences in Poyang Lake region of farmland each prefecture-level city, Because the level of economic development, regionaldifferences in resources, industrial structure of agriculture, Nanchang, Jiujiang, Jingdezhen, Fuzhou efficiency was significantly higher than Xinyu, Yichun and other places.Third: In the three groups of the direction vector calculation, the third set of direction vectors that maintain the economic benefits of cultivated land use change, reducing pressure on the ecological environment(the using of pesticides and fertilizers and other pollutants), eco-efficiency were significantly lower than the previous two, Description reducing cropland use of pesticide and fertilizer inputs, has great potention to reduce agricultural pollution on the ecological efficiency improvement, and therefore need to increase the attention of government and public on agricultural environment.
