Research On The Risk Management Of XGEN-EPC Project For Contractor

With Chinese enterprises join international EPC contract markets gradually, the Chinese company Which is the contractor need to bear more risks.of gradually increase.The project of XGEN-EPC is an international project, the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau who is the contractor is facing great risks, in this paper, we research the risk management of pipeline bureau in XGEN- EPC project.In this paper, according to the risk management process, we analyze contractor’s risk in XGEN- EPC project from three aspects, risk identification, risk evaluation and risk response. This paper combines the qualitative and quantitative methods,evaluates the risk of contractor, reaches the project risk in different stages, as well as the risk size in XGEN- EPC project.First,this paper based on the development and the charateristics of EPC mode,analyzes the risk types, combining with the characteristics of XGEN- EPC project,at this time we have analyzed risks faced with by the contractor,according to the life cycle of construction projects, combining with the project of XGEN-EPC, identifies the contractor’s risk in different stages of the project,it includes political risks,contract risks,construct risks,natural risks,economic risks,manage risks,technical risks; And then through the analytic hierarchy process and expert evaluation method,evaluates the risk factors,the maximal risk aspects are political risk, construction risk,then are economic risk, technology risk,the minimal risks are management risk,natural risk and contract risk; Finally according to the actual situation of XGEN- EPC project,we put forward different countermeasures of risk.
