In the era of knowledge economy, knowledge workers had replaced the capital to become the most important resource, the focus of competition between the enterprises is the competition of knowledge talented person’s, knowledge workers become the darling of the knowledge economy era, no matter it is for high and new technology enterprise, or for the traditional production and processing enterprises. Knowledge workers, for the knowledge capital, can enjoys a high autonomy and independence. Recently, our country enterprise insufficient understanding of characteristics of knowledge workers, there are many problems in the management of knowledge workers, that makes the knowledge staff work performance low. With the share of knowledge workers in the overall enterprise employee increasing, the role in enterprise is becoming bigger and bigger, how to stimulate the knowledge workers to play its ability to the greatest extent, improve performance of the knowledge-type employees has become the key to enterprise success or failure.This paper by the knowledge staff as the research object,after reviewing the theory of knowledge staff performance management at home and abroad to define the definition of knowledge workers, and explains the characteristics of knowledge workers and the connotation of performance management; Analysis the current our country enterprise knowledge workers performance status, and problems existing in the process of knowledge staff management; Explores the factors that affecting the performance of knowledge workers,use the questionnaire survey and interview study way to the empirical research, and tries to study the concrete degree that the effect of various factors on knowledge workers performance; By for the knowledge workers to construct the targeted performance appraisal system, provides the talents of the stage, create a comfortable and healthy work environment, formulate scientific and rational compensation plan, and promote long-termdevelopment of the knowledge staff, enhance the ability of performance management,and so on,to put forward knowledge staff performance management improvement measures. The study in this paper are looking forward to provide the beneficial reference for enterprise knowledge staff performance management work.
