The Research Of Zhangjiang High-Tech Park’s Development

Zhangjiang High-Tech Park was established in 1992, is the national high-tech development zones approved by the State Council. In August 1999 the Shanghai CPC committee and municipal government issued the "Focus on Zhangjiang" strategy policy. Just for the past 14 years’development, particularly in the influence of past six years "Focus on Zhangjiang" strategy, the park has achieved great not only in promoting industrial upgrading, innovation and transformation of technological outcome, but also the economic and social development,and has been the most important strategic base of Shanghai city rejuvenating through science and education, and the park’s international and domestic competitiveness are also enhanced.But, facing the new stage, especially that the self-innovation has become a new strategy that the nation develop its science and technology, how Zhangjiang maintain sustainable development, What Zhangjiang do to promote Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta even China’s high-tech development and innovation, those are the research purposes of this essay. After thorough investigation and an extensive study, the paper made a systematic analysis on zhangjiang’s development, the trends and opportunity for the future development of high-tech industry. According to the analysis, the paper emphasized that all the government, the park authorities or the enterprises should establish the international competitive consciousness in the future, and make Zhangjiang to become an internationally competitive Hi-Tech Park in the world in the next 15 years or even longer.In the light of this goal, the paper raised four functions in zhangjiang’s future development: to do more innovation and business incubators so as to be the source of shanghai technology innovation; to develop more producing service industry and high-end manufacturing industry so as to forge shanghai the high-tech and high value-added industrial base; to exert more innovation functions so as to drive Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta and even the western region development together; to encourage the enterprises as the main body of innovation, and explore the new way that combine the advantage of the government, industry, education and research institution.Meanwhile referring to other international park’s development and zhangjiang’s status quo, also as a result of this study, this paper point out that in future development, the most important role zhangjiang should be is to do more service functions and guidelines and through improving the service environment and industrial planning to form the industrial clusters and industrial upgrading, actually these are the main research areas of this paper.Need to say is, in my thesis writing, Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park to be widened, and change its name to the Zhangjiang High-Tech Development Zone. But here I still think, considering the geographical factors, the characteristics and the traditional impression of Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, it is valuable and necessary to continue the research of the original area of Zhangjiang High-Tech Park. Because exerting the original positioning and advantage in-depth of zhangjiang, it can better meet the needs of self- innovation and play a pilot model and guiding role well.Of course, because of the limitations of individual knowledge, the thesis is still lacking expertise in prospective study in the development of high-tech industries, and other knowledge is inevitably inadequate. These are the direct reasons for me to continue learning and research in the future.
