Chinese Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS) is the national major science and technology infrastructure construction, which is aimed to provide first-class Neutron science comprehensive experiment devicefor scientists at home and abroad. The high-energy proton beam extracted from the accelerator bombards on the target to generate neutrons through spallation reaction. General Purpose Powder Diffractometer(GPPD) is one of the first batch of instruments. Position-sensitive Scintillation Neutron Detector(SSND) is an important part of GPPD. Optical signals output from SSND are absorbed and re-launched by going through wavelength-shifting fibers and arrived at the anodes of Multi-anode Photo Multiplier Tubes(MaPMT). Signals output from MaPMT are processed by electronic systems.MaPMT_v10 developed by the Institute of High Energy Physics(IHEP) is an application-specific integrated circuit(ASIC) chipapplied to the MaPMT reado ut electronics system for the scintillator neutron detector.A readout circuit board applied to the MaPMT readout electronics system for the scintillator neutron detector is developed in this thesis. MaPMTB_v10 is used to discriminate gamma and the neutron according to their attributes after through the detector. FPGA is used to obtain location and arriving moment information by processing the digital signal output from ASICs and to control a USB module to communicatewith PC for user interface and visualiza tion of measuring results.This thesis mainly studied the following parts: 1.Demand analysis of the readout circuit; 2. System framework design and hardware circuits implement of each module; 3. FPGA logic function design by Verilog HDL language; 3. Circuit test and debugging as well as obtaining performance parameters of ASIC chips.Test results show that the readout circuit board can acquire location and arriving moment information of scattering neutrons and transfer to PC by USB 2.0 protocol. The integral nonlinearity(INL) of the MaPMT_v10 is between 0.72%-1.1%. And the value of signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is 29. The readout circuit board achieves the design goals.
