In life decision making,the diversity of the decision environment and the different of decision-maker herself or himself,such as thinking way and knowledge background bring about the fuzzy of decision problem.In dealing with real multiple attribute group decision making problems,the hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets(HFLTS)shows greater flexibility when the evaluation of estimate is not a single linguistic term.Therefore,many scholars become interested in the theory and application of the HFLTS.In this paper,the ranking method and distance measure of the HFLTS have been studied.Aiming at the limitations of them for further improvement and corresponding multiple attribute decision making method is put forward.The main content are listed as follow:(1)At first,the limitations of the HFLTS ranking is analyzed.The fuzzy degree of the HFLTS is come up with the linguistic terms number in the HFLTS.Based on the subscript average of the linguistic terms and linguistic terms number in the HFLTS,a new ranking method of the HFLTS is proposed.Then,some operators to build up hesitant fuzzy linguistic information are given.Meanwhile,some properties of the operators is also discussed.Finally,based on the hesitant fuzzy linguistic operator a multiple attribute group decision making is given and applied it to the risk investment.(2)The limitation of distance measure between two HFLTS is analyzed.Expanding the fuzzy degree of the HFLTS.A new distance measure between two HFLTS is defined based on the fuzzy degree,Which can overcome the defects of original distance measure.Respectively discussed the discrete distance measure,continuous distance measure,preference distance measure and weighted distance measure of HFLTS.based on the new distance measure of HFLTS,the TOPSIS(Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution)method is proposed.
