Thunder meteorology is closely related to human activities.The research of charge structure and electric field distribution in the thunder cloud is of great significance to raise the thunder warning and understand the atmospheric circuit.In this thesis,a balloon carried sonde system has been developed based on the first generaton sonde system accomplished by the author’s laboratory.The first generaton sonde system has problems with high complexity,imperfect system function and weak real-time tracking of the PTZ(Pan/Tilt/Zoom).On the basis of the first generaton balloon carried sonde system,this thesis designs and implements the second generaton sonde system,which can collect and process the temperature and humidity,charge structure,electric filed strength and other relevant parameters in the thunder cloud according to the newest design requirements.This thesis introduces the whole scheme of the second generaton sonde system,including the front of the sonde and the ground monitoring system.The front of the sonde mainly implements electric measurement module,electric field strength measurement module,rating power supply module,as well as integrating the raindrop image acquisition module,temperature and humidity information acquisition module,GPS signal acquisition module,wireless transmission router,etc.The main work of the ground monitoring system is to reconstruct the structure of the PTZ,improve its effective load,and implement the measurement and control of azimuth angle and pitch angle of the PTZ’s platform based on the planar electronic compass and inclination sensor.Through configuring the network port to the virtual serial port module,the control computer realizes the front-end’s signal’s receiving,processing,displaying and storing.This thesis improves the mixed-signal transmission scheme in the first generation sonde system,presents the full digital data transmission scheme through the wireless router,which improves the reliability of the system,and reduces the complexity of the system.Finally,the tracking and transmission distance of the system are tested.The test results show that the system can realize the real-time tracking of the sonde system.The transmission distance can up to 16 km,and the parameters of the thunder cloud can be measured.After the systemassembly is completed,the data acquisition experiment of the thunder cloud is carried out.Test shows that the system is stable,and satisfies the design requirements with strong practicability,which provides an effective technical solution for further accurate detection and analysis of the thunder cloud parameters.
