Structure characteristics and reservoir prediction of Bin8 fault block of Binnan oilfield are studied in terms of geometry,kinematics and dynamics on the basis of the theories of structural geology,analytical tectonics,sedimentology,exploration seismology and petroleum geology,being based on previous research achievements,using seismic,logging,drilling,mud logging methods and production performance,combining well and seismic,taking various technologies such as slice technique,coherence cub technique,ant-tracking technology and 3d-visualization technology.Westren depression,central uplift,and eastern slope is shown in Bin8 fault block of Binnan oilfield.The northern boundary fault which is characterized by two stages is nearly EW to the NE – SW trend and dips to the south,and the southern boundary fault which is characterized by three stages is EW,NE-SW and EW trend from west to east and dips to the south.Both control northern and southern boundary of Bin8.There are numbers of low-order faults,among which the EW strike faults controlled by boundary faults and dipping to south are in the majority.Combined with the analysis of data of core and logging,the single well facies,multiple-well facies and plane facies,the result show that the delta front subfacies of delta facies develop and the main sedimentary microfacies comprise distributary channel,mouth bar,distal bar,blanket sand and inter-distributary bay.Combination of seismic attribute analysis and seismic inversion can improve the accuracy of the understanding of no-well area reservoir and improve the only rely on the conclusion of well data of sedimentary facies.Researches also show that sand bodies are mainly distributed in the northern zone near the Binxian-bulge.The thickest sand body distributes in the northeast and the medium thickness of sand body in the center region.The central region is the relative higher position,which is rich of fracture and is more beneficial to become petroleum accumulation units.
