Reservoir modeling research is an important technology for quantification and visualization of reservoirs in recent years. It uses a prototype geological knowledge base containing various geological information, and establishes a reservoir model, sedimentary microfacies model, and reservoir Models of physical properties, etc.,to achieve quantitative characterization of reservoirs and reservoir heterogeneity. The L26 well area in the study area is located in the southeastern slope of the northern slope of the Ordos Basin. The Chang 2 reservoir in the Yanchang Formation of the Triassic is the main oil and gas reservoir. With the development in-depth,the decrease of formation pressure and the increase of comprehensive water content make the stable production and potential exploration of the oil field more difficult. In order to ensure stable production and increase production in the study area,it is necessary to conduct systematic research and understanding of the Chang 2 reservoir in the study area and establish a more accurate reservoir. The layered geological model accurately describes the spatial distribution law of reservoir physical properties, which plays an important role in the subsequent development and adjustment of the oil field and the improvement of the final oil recovery. In this paper, the Chang2 reservoir formation in L26 well area is taken as the research object.High-resolution sequence stratigraphy is used to construct the isochronic genetic stratigraphic framework, and combined with theories of sedimentology and well logging geology, the single well core and well logging phases are performed.Analyzed and studied the planar distribution and evolution of sedimentary microfacies in the target layer.Starting from the analysis of core samples, the analysis and testing techniques such as cast thin section and scanning electron microscope were used to comprehensively and systematically summarize the characteristics of the reservoir in the study area, which provided a solid foundation for subsequent reservoir geological modeling. At the same time, through extensive investigations,in-depth research on reservoir modeling methods, principles, procedures, optimization, and inspections has been conducted. Finally, using Petrel modeling software, following the principles of isochronous modeling and phased-controlled modeling,a 3D geological model of the Chang 2 reservoir was established, and the model was optimized and tested for accuracy from different angles. The final result model objectively reflects the geology of the reservoir and provides technical assurance for the development of a reasonable development plan.
