The structure of five-axis machine tools are various. They are the importantmanufacturing equipments in the complex surface machining industry of space, shipand car. Post-processing technology is a key step of the nc machining technology.Nowadays, the post-processor is based on the cutter location data to get the nc co-de which have no inverse solution optimization function. This thesis put forward thegeneral kinematics formula of spindle-tilting five-axis nc machine tools. And acco-rding to the stroke of the actual machine tool, the movement efficiency and so on,this thesis established the optimal strategy which get the optimal value of inversesolution and develop the general post processor.This thesis established the common kinematics model of spindle-tilting five-axis machine by using the robotics knowledge, which used the exponential productformula and the orthogonal characteristics of the rotating sub matrix to simplify kin-ematics formula. Then, this thesis classified the singular phenomenon. Aim at thecutting error phenomenon of five axis machining which caused by the singularity,this thesis proposed a general solution which can avoid accidentally cut. And theoptimization strategy of inverse solution is proposed, according to the actual strokeof machine tool and movement efficiency, the appropriate inverse solutions are sel-ected. Finally, this thesis developed a universal post processor of spindle-tilting fiveaxis machine tools which used the optimization strategy of inverse solutions and setup the model of machine tools in vericut simulation software, then the general kin-ematics formula, singular algorithm and the optimization strategy is verified.The development of universal post processor in this thesis provides the theo-retical foundation and general reference. It has the practical guiding significance ofthe development of the general post-processor of table-tilting type and spindle-table-tilting type five-axis machine tools.
