The function of post processing is to realize the conversion of the code, putting the pre-processing file into NC program, the result directly affects the processing quality and production efficiency. As domestic five coordinate machine gradually increased and the continuous improvement of the NC programming software, many manufacturers are machining some complex parts by using multi-axis NC machining technology, which greatly improves the production efficiency and machining accuracy.But there is a big problem betweenn CAM automatic programming software and five axis NC machine tools, commercial post processing software dealing with the problems of the exception codes which appear in the simulation stage, software which is written in this paper considering the processing method of exception code before conversion, solving the problem of rotation axis jump sharply in post processing. By analyzing the structure characteristics of DMC75 VLinear five axis machining center, the characteristics of Heidenhain iTNC530 control system, proposed post processing algorithms about coordinate transformation. The application of the algorithm by using the Delphi language and conversion interface is designed. Through the impeller model simulation, verify the validity of the development of special post processor.The main research contents are listed below.(1)Research on decoding algorithm: according to the CAM system of automatic programming, get the cutter location file, according to the characteristics of the APT file formats, read line by line for tool motion information.(2)Kinematics solution: through the establishment of coordinate system, the realization of the cutting tool, workpiece, conversion and turntable, CAM uses the workpiece coordinate system, but machine tool coordinate systems adopted in the actual processing, so the coordinate system must be transformate from workpiece coordinate system to machine tool coordinate system.(3)Angle optimization: analyzed the relationship between the B and C axis stroke limit and kinematics anti-solution, proposed the optimization solution algorithm of the post processing, post processing software is developed, solve the collision problem caused by commercial post processing which choose the wrong solution.(4)The realization of post processing algorithm: the mathematical calculation which has been completed is written in Delphi language and the interface is designed.(5)The validation of the post processing algorithm: by reading the Heidenhain iTNC530 manual understand the programming characteristics of the system, combined with the impeller parts model, through the import of DMC75 VLinear machine into the simulation software verified the G code is correct.
