Nowadays,five-axis CNC machine tools are very common in the field of complex parts machining applications,the machining of complex parts need to be NC programmed by using post-processing technique.With the new CNC systems and various machine structures are constantly emerging,the development of the general post-processing system is always behind the CNC systems and the hardware devices.At the same time,the NC program generated by general post-processing technology requires a lot of modifications to meet the requirements of Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine tools.While the NC program generated by special post-processing technology without modifications can be used directly.Therefore,the development of special post-processing system of the Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine is important.First,The features and functions of Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine tools Siemens 840D CNC system and the consist of its hardware and software are discussed.The circuit block diagram connection of machine is designed and the numerical system works and motion control theory are analysed.At last,the PLC hardware structure is analysed and its program structure chart is designed.Second,the structural characteristics of Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine tools are analyzed and the motion equations of machine tools are derived according to the principle of coordinate transformation in text,which provides a theoretical basis for the post-processing software of the machine.Third,the cutter location file generated by UG and the nonlinear error of the Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine tools and the possible position of maximum nonlinear error are analysed.The adaptive linearization method for nonlinear error compensation method is introduced and validated by MATLAB,at the same time the compensation method is integrated in the post-processing software.Forth,the main tasks and work flow of the post-processing software for Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine tools are clear.And then the program format requirements of Siemens 840D CNC system is analyzed.Then the correspondence table of the cutter location file and the Siemens 840D CNC system NC program format is obtained.Finally,the flow chart of the post-processing program is designed and the post-processing program is written.In the end,according to the structure characteristics of Rocker-style five-axis CNC machine tools,the components of each component of the model machine and the machining simulation environment in VERICUT software are established.Through the configuration of the machine tool parameter and adding NC program,the machining simulation of impeller is successfully carried out and which has verified the feasibility and correctness of the post-processing algorithm.
