Coal is one of the main energy sources of our country.Coal Industry has caused a series of environment problems.Long-term mining lead to surface collapse, land subsidence and various other geo-ecological environment problems in mining subsidence region, especially in Huainan which is a coal-resource-based city, the geo-ecological environment influence and restrict Huainan's economic development directly. This thesis focuses on quantitative evaluation of geo-ecological environment capacity in Huainan coal mining subsidence area. The thesis first discussed the basic concept and evaluation methodology of ecological capacity. And then selected three subunits which are significantly impact the geological ecology environment:landuse, waterlogged area caused by land subsidence and atmospheric environment as the evaluation criteria layers to construct the evaluation model,to estimate the eco-environment carrying capacity quantitatively. The correlation coefficients between coal output and the subunits are calculated as well. From the results,it is noticed that coal mining actives dramatically impact the eco-environment,especially the spatial dimension of waterlogged area caused by land subsidence and PM 10 values in the atmosphere directly.Based on these results,an evaluation model of environmental quality of the mining area was constructed. This model was integrated into a WebGIS information system which was based on ArcGIS Server and Google Earth API.The system provided management, sharing and distribution of historical data, spatial data, thematic data relating to Huainan coal mining activities and enabled the visulization of evaluating ecological environment capacity in Huainan coal mining subsidence area.
