PROTOS2-2 ultra-high speed cigarette-making machine is the focusing models of China Tobacco Machinery Equipment Group introducing from Germany. The research object of this thesis is spider and transfer drum system which is the core component of the machine by creating systematic geom etric models and calculation modes, the stability evaluation indicators of cigarette transfer are the relative displacement and velocity of the rod passage centers in two pairs of cigarette transfer spider. The vibration stability of the transfer drum active hand was analyzed. Then, the kinematic model of mechanism with joint clearance was established and the kinematic characteristics were studied. The main contents are as follows:(1)The working principle of spider-transfer drum was analyzed, and its geometric modeling and virtual prototype modeling were established. Based on the working principle of spider-transfer drum, the modeling of spider mechanism and transfer drum mechanism were established, the geometric modeling and virtual prototype modeling of the cigarette transfer system were finished. After creating the kinematics calculation models of cigarette transfer system, analytic methods were applied respectively to the researches of spider mechanism and transfer drum mechanism to verify the accuracy of the numerical model and the reliability of the calculation results. By analyzing the experimental results of high speed photography, how the production rates affect the cut tobacco drop when the spider grabs cigarette could be concluded.(2)The kinematics analysis of cigarette transfer system was conducted and the stability of cigarette transfer was studied. The results of kinematics calculation presented the relative displacement and velocity between the insider/outside rod passenger centers of the suction carriers on the spider and the rod passage centers of active/fixed hands on transfer drum. According to the above analyses, the stability evaluation indicators of cigarette transfer are the relative displacement and velocity of the rod passage centers in two pairs of cigarette transfer spider.(3)The vibration stability analysis of transfer drum active hand was conducted. The influence of the vibration stability of active hand on the actual production requirement of the vibration stability was analyzed in the low frequency working condition. According to the design drawings, the active hand of transfer drum was established in Pro/E. The finite element model was finished and the modal analysis was conducted. The nine natural frequencies and corresponding modes of the active hand were obtained. According to the nine modes, the influence of resonance of active hand on the quality of cigarette transfer was studied.(4)The influence of joint clearances on kinematic characteristics of cam-swinging link mechanism was studied. Based on the continuous contact model with clearance, the mechanism kinematic pair slot can be described by non-quality rod that the flexible rod replaces the rigid rod. Taking the transfer drum system as research object, the kinematics calculation model considering cam pair slot of transfer drum is built and kinematics simulation is processed, which studies the effects that joint clearance has on the kinematic characteristics of cam-swinging link mechanism.
