| Copper is a very important metal material in the construction of national economy. With the rapid development of national economy, the demand and consumption of copper resources in our country increases greatly. The production of copper can’t satisfy the needs of national economic construction, domestic copper mine resources situation is getting serious. The reserves of copper resources in China is relatively considerable, but the mean grade of copper ore is low and there are generally some associated components. In order to strengthen the efficient development and utilization of copper sulfide ore, mining preparation industry has already put improving the recovery rate and the separating efficiency of sulfide copper as a very important direction. In order to achieve a highly efficient separation of Dongguashan copper ore, based on the process mineralogy characteristics of the ore, the systematic floatation experiments on Donggaushan copper ore with flotation without and with classification are conducted. The test results show that the classification process can make the copper ore flotation more effective. The research of technological mineralogy shows that the copper grade is 0.94% in raw ore, the main metallic mineral is chalcopyrite, the main gangue minerals are garnet, quartz, pyroxene, talc, etc. Chalcopyrite, pyrite and pyrrhotite are closely associated with fine disseminated chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite and coarse pyrite, which is complex and difficult to liberate and separate. The flotation experiments without classification are carried out, the grinding fineness is-0.074mm 85%, using sodium silicate and CaO as dispersant and depressant, butyl xanthate as collector, turpentine as frother. The closed circuit test in laboratory gives copper concentrate with grade 21.13%, recovery 83.71%, and tailing with grade 0.16%, recovery 16.29% through flowsheet of single-stage roughing, three-stage cleanings and two-stage scavengings. The classification floatation experiments were carried out with the same fineness of the flotation as experiments without classification. The material is divided into +0.037mm and-0.037mm. Under the proper reagent system, respective flotation for the two fractions of +0.037mm and -0.037mm by a closed circuit test in laboratory produce compound copper concentrate with grade 21.09%, recovery 85.33%, and compound tailing with grade 0.14%, recovery 14.67%.Compared with the test without classification, the test with classification increases recovery by 1.62%.The results of this study have a certain significance in achieving high efficient separation and comprehensive recovery for the same type copper sulfide ores. |
