The pipelines in high pressure polyethylene unit are the important part in polyethylene plant, which is the main equipment for the production of polyethylene. Security risks like corrosion and blocking occurred in the pipelines used for long. The redesign of the pipelines is necessary and complicated because of some non-standard parts in high pressure condition. Stress analysis of the high pressure pipeline should be first conducted to support the following design. The work of research subject is arranged as follows:1. The strength designs of the pipeline were completed according to the relevant standards and codes. The mechanical properties and fracture toughness parameters of the base metal and weld were tested according to performance parameters to obtain the performance parameters. The evaluation of the safety of the pipeline was made by the study of force, moment and stress of pipeline in various loads. The design of pipeline is as economical as possible on the basis of the stress limits of pipeline and device.2. CEASARII ? ANSYS were used to calculate the stress analysis of the pipeline and tee joint structure to ensure that the pipelines have enough flexibility to prevent stress intensity problem due to the deformation caused by temperature, pipe support and additional endpoint displacement.3. According to the high pressure pipeline strength design and stress analysis, the theory of finite element and the working principle of the finite element analysis software were mastered. The stress classification method and stress analysis theory were understand. CEASAR ? and AN SYS software of pipe stress analysis can use skillfully. The safety assessment of stress analysis of pressure pipeline and check standard of high-pressure pipeline were mastered.Results indicated that the stress analysis solutions of the pipeline and tee joint structure are valuable for engineering application. The reliability of the pipeline system will be improved. The integrity, continuity and consistency of the pipeline will be significantly strengthened.
