Quality can't meet the requirements of various industries for high quality steel plate, until after adopted the technology of hot coil box, largely to solve this problem, at the same time also can reduce the production cost. Hot coil box is modern plate strip steel rolling technology are used to in the middle billet coiling and uncoiling device, located in the roughing mill after crop flying shear. Due to its presence, to plate strip steel production has brought many benefits, it is completely plate strip steel production of a revolution.A domestic steel mill introduced new technology to modify the old production line, because at the time of setting parameters is still using the old production line of process parameters, it had a few problems in the process of production, can not fully play the role of the hot coil box. In order to improve the original process, the factory want to get the temperature field distribution of hot coil box and get the values of the hot coil box improve billet temperature, lower the temperature difference between head and end of the billet, according to intermediate slab concrete temperature distribution, improve the process, give full play to the role of the hot coil box, Intuitive understanding of hot coil box playing role on intermediate billet. And because the domestic research on issues related to hot coil box is less, when to set parameters of hot coil box according to the actual situation but it is lack of theoretical basis.This paper first summarizes the technology in domestic and foreign development situation of the hot coil box, the author introduces the application of technology in the domestic hot coil box,then according to the domestic steel mills are using the hot coil box of volume data, determine the intermediate slab on the heat transfer coefficient of the hot coil box, analysis of various process parameters, and environmental factors on the billet temperature in the steel plate, Establishing analysis model of steel plate in hot coil box, Using modern analytical software Ansys the steel in the process of production in hot coil box to simulate the temperature field is analyzed, compared with traditional strip production line with installation of the steel strip production line equipped with hot coil box when into the finishing mill steel temperature difference, analysis in hot coil box is improve intermediate billet temperature and lower the temperature difference between steel plate head and end, then get the relevant data.Finally, combined with the actual production process, Formulate appropriate coarse rolling speed, width of steel plate, open-book speed and related parameters, Related to factory production line for HSM provides an important parameter basis for the establishment of process parameters, and provide the basis for further study.
