The geological situation of open-cast coal is complicated, that make it difficult for the explosive charge adjustment in the course of blast working. Especially when there are hard rock layers and solitary rocks in soft rocks, it is extremely easy to produce chunks, lead to unsatisfactory blasting effect, affect the shovel loading efficiency and production costs seriously.The paper takes the open-cast coal of Shenhua Nortel China as the engineering background and LWD-200B slewing drilling machine of Fuxin Gongda Liwei scientific and technical corporation as the platform, designs and implements the drilling parameters data acquisition system of slewing drilling machine, establishes the relationship between the drilling parameters and the hardness of rock by drilling parameters sample and BP artificial neural network mathematical model, uses the Visual Studio application development platform and C# language to develop the rock hardness analysis and display software system, which can real-time record and derived analysis and forecast data of rock hardness, establishes a rock hardness distribution model of blasting working stage by 3DMINE, which is used to optimize blasting design scheme by the blasting design parameter requirements. The results of this study are of great importance to reduce blasting cost, improve blasting effect and put an end to the blasting accidents, which are also important data basis for the realization of intelligent system of open-pit blasting.
