As an important part of improving iron properties, desulfurization is of great importance during the process of refining.Today, KR desulfurization method and injection method are widely seen in our country.What they have in common is that the molten iron is driven by impeller or gas,thus allowing the desulfurization agent to distribute uniformly.So it is very important to study how to shorten the blending time and how to enhance the touch probability of molten and desulfurization agent?Based on the study of liquid-solid flow,the desulfurization of different working conditions is studied using KR method and identified with experiments.Concentration is focused on the influence of impeller shape?immersion depth?rotating speed,then the model is improved and compared with former flow field.First different immersion depth?rotating speed and different impeller shape are simulated and estimated.Then,the three process stated above with adding desulfurization agent are simulated and improved,thus the curves of the hybrid power and hybrid time with sulfur content are described.Then,an improved good model is suggested.The results revealed that,desulfurization result is enhanced with faster speed.But if impeller speed is faster,the consumed power is more needed.Take all into consideration,for center-rotating,the best rotating speed is 120r/min, the best immersion depth is 1/2 the depth of the water deep,and the longer the impeller is,the better the mixing result is. At the the condition of eccentricity arrangement, the best eccentricity is 15.6% of the diameter of stirring tank,the best immersion depth is 61% the depth of water deep.Based on the foundation of previous findings,an improved model with turbulence column is suggested and studied.Results reveal that the best arrangement is that the eccentricity is 15.6% the size of diameter with the rotating speed of 120r/min and 61% of immersion depth,and the column should be 56% the height of stirring vessel.The results give reference to the desulfurization process.
