For the sake of studying Texaco coal-water slurry gasification process,optimizing related operational parameters,achieving the objective of high efficiency and low cost,it's necessary to research the core equipment of gasification process for syngas production.And the core equipment is Texaco gasifier.Research on the subject was Texaco gasifier with three-channel nozzle in this paper.The numerical simulation and optimization analysis were carried out through the selection of rational mathematical models based on the CFD software FLUENT.Usually,the models above included turbulence,radiation,burning,discrete phase model and so on.First,the distribution of flow field,temperature and main gas products inside gasifier were researched,as well as the temperature and main composition of syngas at the outlet.Second,the changing of temperature,main gas products inside the gasifier,the temperature and main composition of syngas was analyzed as the key operational parameters including coal water slurry concentration,oxygen-coal ratio,size of pulverized coal particle and operating pressure varied in a certain range.The results showed as follows:?1?The distribution of flow field,temperature and mole fraction of main gas products in Texaco gasifier is essentially symmetrical.The flow field is composed of jetting flow region,backflow region and tubular flow area obviously.And at the same time,the temperature field is divided into flame region and non-flame region clearly.Production obtained at outlet of the gasifier is syngas with high temperature.For the production,CO,CO2,H2 and H2O are the main components,while CO and H2 are the effective components.?2?With kinds of situation considered,it's necessary to maximize concentration of coal water slurry and operating pressure,to minimize oxygen coal ratio and size of pulverized coal particle size as much as possible,so as to obtain syngas with more effective components and higher temperature,under the premise of guaranteeing long-term normal work,high efficiency and low cost.
