The wheel flange is one of the most important parts of automobile wheel.It cooperates with the rim and fixes the tyre at the waist of the wheel rim in order to guarantee the usability of the wheel.In the production process of the wheel flange,the shape of the wheel flange is complex,the multi-pass rolling is adopted and the noncircular cross section roller is used in the latter passes.So the deformation of the rolled piece is uneven,the size controlling is difficult and the yield is low,which influences the production and the economic benefit.According to the characteristics of the wheel flange i.e.special shape,various types and complex rolling technology,based on the design of 5.50 F wheel flange and combining the industrial production condition,the single-pass reduction experiments for an inddustrial microalloyed steel were conducted on a Gleeble-1500 simulator.The stress-strain curve was measured.Based on the regression analysis,the thermal deformation activation energy of the microalloyed steel used for wheel flange was calculated to be 342.09 KJ/mol.Then the shape resistance model available for the microalloyed steel used for wheel flange was built.Meanwhile,the applicative mathematic model was selected to calculate the rolling schedule of the microalloyed steel used for wheel flange.Then the parameters during the deformation of 5.50 F wheel flange such as the temperature of the piece and the roll force were obtained.The results showed that the calculated temperature of the piece after each rolling pass and the calculated roll force were in good agreement with the measured values.Based on above works,a software for calculating the rolling schedule of the profiled steel used for wheel flange was developed by using the strong programming functions of C# software.According to this software,the rolling schedule of the steels with different grades and different types(5.50F-8.5B)can be calculated by inputting corresponding parameters,selecting different shape resistance models and roll force models.Results show that the software has the advantages of high flexibility,easy to use,accurate calculation and high practicability.The schematic diagrams of roll force and roll temperature can be drawn by this visual software.Meanwhile,the calculation results of rolling schedule can be output in the form of EXCEL documents,so the data can be easily stored and printed.This software meets the production needs of various types of wheel flange and provides a theoretical basis for the production of the profiled steel used for wheel flange.
