Fifteen cultivars of jujubes were analyzed in their red stage for bioactive compounds including total phenolics(bond and free polyphenols), total flavonoids, total polysaccharides, ascorbic acid, total triterpene, proanthocyanidins and cyclic adenosine monophosphate(c AMP). Technique for Order Performance by Similarity to Ideal Solution method(TOPSIS) was employed to evaluate the nutrition of different jujubes based on bioactive compounds contents. The antioxidant activity was evaluated by the 2, 2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydracyl(DPPH?), 2, 2‘-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)(ABTS?+) scavenging method and ferric reducing antioxidant power(FRAP) assay. The ovarian cancer inhibition effect was evaluated by MTT assay. Hyphenated Mass Spectrometry Methods was employed to analyze the compound composition of the extracts which have high antioxidant and anti-tumor ability. The results showed that the c AMP content of the 15 jujubes varied from 17.38 ?g/g(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Dalongzao) to 193.93 ?g/g(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Hupingzao); Vc content varied from 167.1 mg /100g(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Dalongzao) to 424.7 mg /100 g FW(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Guanyangduanzao); Polysacchrides content varied from 310.3 mg /100 g FW(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Dalongzao) to 2181.5(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Guanyangduanzao) mg /100 g FW; Total flavonoids content varied from 47.0 mg RE/100 g FW(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Hupingzao) to 199.6(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Nanjingyazao) mg RE/100 g FW; Total polyphenol(bound and free phenolics) content varied from 55.8 mg GAE/100 g FW(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Zanhuangzao) to 252.0(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Tengzhouchanghongzao) mg GAE/100 g FW; Total triterpene changed from 7.52 mg UAE/g FW(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Shenglizao) to 16.57(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Xiangfenyuanzao) mg UAE/g FW; Proanthocynadins content varied from 51.1 mg CE /100 g FW(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Shanxilongzao) to 99.7(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Jinzao) mg CE /100 g FW. TOPSIS analysis showed that Zyzyphus jujube cv. Nanjingyazao, Zyzyphus jujube cv. Lailutangzao, Zyzyphus jujube cv. Guanyangduanzao and Zyzyphus jujube cv. Tengzhouchanghongzao have comparatively higher nutrition value. The ABTS values varied from 0.96(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Xiangfenyuanzao) to 1.92(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Lailutangzao) mmol trolox eq. /100 g FW, DPPH values from 1.04(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Shanxilongzao) to 1.91(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Lailutangzao) mmol Trolox eq. /100 g FW and FRAP values from 224.6(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Huizao) to 406.2(Zyzyphus jujube cv. Tengzhouchanghongzao) mg Vc eq. /100 g FW.The methanol extracts have some ovarian carcinoma inhibition capacity. The extracts of Zyzyphus jujube cv. Lailutangzao, Zyzyphus jujube cv. Nanjingyazao, Zyzyphus jujube cv. Guanyangduanzao, Zyzyphus jujube cv. Popozao, Zyzyphus jujube cv. Tengzhouchanghongzao have comparatively higher ovarian carcinoma cells inhibition ability.Correlation analysis revealed that ascorbic acid, polyphenol and proanthocyanidins mainly contributes to the antioxidant activity and flavonoids to the anti-ovarian cancer capacity. The main compounds detected in ethyl acetate extracts which contributed maily to the antioxidant and anti-tumor capacity are(-)-Epicatechin, procyanidin, epicatechin-(4??8)-catechin, 5-hydroxy-4',6,7-trimethoxyflavone, Coumarin, kaempferol glycosides, malvidin glucoside, betulinic acid, ursolic acid, betulinic acid and other triterpenoids. The main compounds detected in n-hexane extracts are Lauric acid, myristoleic acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, palmitic acid, linoleic acid and so on.
