And coordination polymers that contain phenanthroline moiety have a wide range of applications in the field of life sciences, as well as the catalytic, new photoelectric material, material testing and other scientific research fields. Thus, they have attracted a lot of attention of research.?1? The synthetic method of macrocylic oxmide mononuclear complex NiL1 was improved and a new metalloligand NiL2 was synthesized. They were characterized by IR spectra and UV-vis spectra.?2? Macrocyclic metalloligand NiL1 was used to react with metal ions and cyclohexanediamine or?1S, 2S?-diphenylethylenediamine, for the preparation of chiral coordination polymers. Although no desired results were achieved, three new complexes {[Cd?NiL1??H2O?2]·2DMF}n?1?, {[Mn?NiL1??CH3OH??H2O?2]·CH3OH·0.5H2 O }n?2? and the complex?3? from NiL1, Cu?NO3?2?3H2O and?1S, 2S?-diphenylethylenediamine were obtained. Their structures were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction.?3? The reaction of the metalloligand NiL2 with Zn?ClO4?2·2H2O, gave a new complex?4?. Its structure was also determined by X- ray single crystal diffraction.?4? Two 2D coordination polymers {Cd?NiL1??phen?}n?5? and {Zn?NiL1??phen?}n?6? were prepared. Their structures were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction.?5? Compounds 1, 2, 5 were also characterized by IR spectra, UV-Vis spectra, TG and XRD.
