Modern industrial design should not only reflect the art, function of products, but also pay attention to the manufacturing and assembly characteristics and environmental attributes, only taking into account the above factors, the enterprise can stand out in the fierce market competition.Many companies begin to use the DFX-based mode in product development, and consider the factors in the life cycle of design, manufacturing, assembly and recycling,this kind of pattern greatly reduce the cost, enhancing the design quality, accelerate the development cycles.Modular design is an important development direction of rapid design in the future.But it is not a fundamental solution to the problem of low success rate and rework, these problems may obviously weaken the advantages of modular reduction,but DFMAR can effectively solve the problem.In this thesis, modular product design mode based on the DFMAR is studied,which combines two design thoughts with other modern design method such as the finite element method, digital design and variant design. The design pattern is studied with a design example of the multi-functional processing machine of the domestic kitchen which obtained an excellent results.The main contents are as follows:(1) First, background of the subject is introduced. Current situation of research and application of DFMAR. The basic theory of modular design and makes chapters arrangements of the whole thesis is introduced.(2)The basic principles,design guidelines and the application methods of DFA,DFM and DFR combined with CAD/CAE/CAPP technology is analyzed and summarized,and studied the design for manufacturing of injection molding method. Finally, the influences of group technology, CAX on DFMAR is studied.(3) The development model of modular products based on DFMAR is researched. The whole development processes is studied, such as user requirements, design analysis, module division, modular structures creation, DFMAR analysis, preparation of technical documents. The modular product development model based on DFMAR is compared to the traditional product development model based DFMAR.(4)Begin by functional analysis,the main technical parameters, module division,appearance design,speed regulation and control method is completed. And then, the motor, decelerator and frequency converter is selected and designed,screw design method focusing on structure design,stress analysis and design calculation,and simulate screw based on CAE software is studied. Next, each module design of the machine based on Creo using experiences and rules of DFMAR is completed. Finally, by replacing the module to perform the function of the product development and complete the function of juice and oil pressing.(5) DFMAR is applied to analyze the product,and improve the product design quality according to design suggestions.The performance of the final design is improved.DFMAR-based modular development model is used in multi-function household kitchen machine design process which can consider less topological relationships between parts and greatly improve work efficiency and design quality,decrease the difficulty and the cost.
