Connection of thread is an important form of mechanical connection, which is applied popularly in all fields. Aiming at thread measuring, Most of the existing instruments and methods can only achieve a single-threaded section measurement and evaluation. Although measure gauge is based on thread synthetical measuring, it can only determine whether qualified, can't give a specific error value. The goal of our project is to detect the synthetical effect. With the rotation of thread, the probe of sensing system which uses elements of the reference thread closely meshes with the measured thread. This method simulates the process of screwing connections, and reflects the combined effects. In this paper, according to the subject of the measuring machine structure,Simplify and established the mathematical model of measuring machine, giving the data processing method and the measuring result according to the measuring principle and method.The main works of this paper are as follow:1. Analyzes the structure and function of each part of measuring machine, and analyzes the motion parts error of the measurement system.2. Established the data coordinate system for data processing, deduced the specific coordinate system conversion formula based on the system mechanical structure.3. Based on the structure and working principle of sensor system, and the changes of probe during measurement process, Proposed a simplified mathematical model. Deduced the equation of the characteristic line based on the measured data. Select the intersections of split surface and characteristic line, obtain the synthetical effective axis of the measured thread axis.4. Proposed evaluation index of synthetical measure, functional boundary difference is the difference of the ideal thread pitch diameter, which is inner or outer contact with the surface of probe in the measurement space based on the functional axis of measured thread. Magnitude of the difference reflects the synthetical effect of the thread. This evaluation method is consistent with measuring principle and measuring method, they have completed the theory of synthetical measurement of thread.5. Combined with VC++6.0, established the logic relation of internal module of software. Write relevant code of data processing and user interface.
