Standard Measuring Tool Of Petroleum Thread Gauge Using Coordinate Measuring Machine

The threaded connection of petroleum casing pipe is an important step in deciding the quality of petroleum pipeline,which has a higher requirement on every function compared with threaded connection of other kinds.With the development of manufacturing technique of petroleum casing pipe,requirement on the quality of casing pipe is also increasing,which brings the perfection of detection technique.Tianjin Pipe(Group)Corporation(TPCO)innovated a new special screwed connection and raised its requirement on the quality of it as well as embracing new design idea.However,due to the reasons that current special screwed connection measuring tools have various types and are not interchangeable,it is very difficult to have a universal examining method and standard,causing the tracing of measuring tools more urgent.This article examines daily work of TPCO metrology department and analyzes problems that exist in standard measuring tool of special screwed connection(middle diameter gauge standard block and petroleum thread gauge),which is a lack of mature measuring method concerning middle diameter gauge standard block and low accuracy,complex operation and low efficiency of traditional measuring method of petroleum thread gauge.Therefore,it is an urgent task to find appropriate measuring tool and set up reliable measuring method for enterprises.This article focuses on coordinate measuring machine(CMM)according to its measuring features and introduces its measuring principle.It also analyzes the origins of measurement errors and measuring method,as well as providing compensation of probe radius based on demands of daily work.Writer sets up measuring method of middle diameter gauge standard block and petroleum thread gauge according to measurement system of three coordinate measuring machine including structure analysis of measured work piece,setup of measurement model,sampling method of measurement parameter and process method of measured data.This article shows that this measuring method can measure with high stability,accuracy and efficiency based on actual tests of various types of middle diameter gauge standard block and petroleum thread gauge that are used in everyday work.This topic can significantly improve calibration of standard measuring tool of petroleum thread gauge in TPCO.The measuring method of CMM middle diameter gauge standard block filled the void of measuring method in this area in TPCO.Enhanced accuracy and efficiency in calibration of petroleum thread gauge using CMM and application in actual production are very satisfactory.
