The Research For Measuring Method Of Thread Gauge And Influence Factors Analysis

China is manufacturing industrial country, the thread parts are not only common, but also very important parts. With the rapid development of economy and industry in China, especially the growing for import and export trade, a large number of foreign thread gauges appear into the Chinese market. Due to the thread of different countries is different in the design and manufacture, etc, therefore, they can't interchange. This makes it become an extremely important task to establish a perfect thread measurement standard.This topic is from the cooperation project of School of Mechanical Engineering NEU and the Length in Measurement science research institute of Liaoning province with the purpose of length measurement research. In this paper, I deeply study the thread gauge measurement technology.The works done in this paper is as follows:(1) The development of thread and thread gauge standard in domestic and abroad has been shortly introduced, and the basic features and differences of common thread and thread gauge, which includes M thread, Unified thread, Whitworth thread, has been studied.(2) The present of the thread measurement technologies has been analyzed. Meanwhile, the measurement methods of M thread and gauge in Chinese standard have been compared with ISO, American, and British.(3) The measurement principle of three needles currently using has been studied. The diameters of the best and non-best three needles also have been calculated. It is pointed out that there are some problems with this method.(4) The error mathematical models have been established, including:three needles diameter error, pitch error, flank angle error, lead angle, measuring force and temperature. In final, the correction formula for pitch diameter has been established.Finally, summary and forecast of this paper's work are provided.
