Safe drinking water is directly related to the majority of people's health and lives, in our country, the source water quality deterioration, eutrophication, water ecosystem destruction and emerging issues occur, seriously affecting the coastal people's production and life and related to regional economic development. How to make the water environment management, effective implementation of water pollution control work to improve the water quality of the environment, has become China's water conservancy and environmental protection departments urgently need to solve the problem. The 18th Party Congress of China explicitly stated that the construction of ecological civilization in order to protect mankind's survival of the ecological environment, vigorously carry out water conservation and water management are the focus of ecological civilization construction. Therefore, studying on Ecological Protection and Management of water sources has great significance.Firstly, the reservoir water source and ecological management was studied, and the actual project "the green work of Qingshan Reservoir" is the basis, primarily through the plant to combat soil erosion measures and beautify the landscape reservoir, to plant some resistance drought, wind and sand-fixing plants in the green area can improve the effect of the climate. According to the natural conditions of the reservoir, choosing the plant selection and planting patterns in each sub-region. Reaching the soil and water conservation role, the green and cultural landscape of the requirements of coordination based on appropriate design.Secondly, studied the role of aquatic plants in the water upstream river ecological management, and applied to the river pollution treatment in Dalian city of Liaoning province. Studied the appropriate growth of aquatic plants in north, choosed reeds, yellow iris, bitter grass, hornworts as artificial wetland plant, on a regular basis for sampling and monitoring of wetland water samples, the typical wetland plant - reed taken back to the lab for analysis, measure nitrogen and phosphorus of plants and the purification of the entire wetland system; Through sampling upstream natural reeds periodicly, comparatively analysing of the purification efficiency of the natural reed wetland and the constructed wetland. Additionally, this article on artificial floating island floating island and plants (reed, canna) were studied, the regular sampling of water before and after floating island, analysing of its removal of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution of water.Finally, In order to verify the influence of engineering measures for the river flood discharge in the river pollution treatment, in the paper, the MIKE21 FM model is used to develop a simple and select the above experiment river (Fuzhou River around Caifangshen Bridge) digitized, secondary development of AutoCAD by using AutoLISP language and MIKE21 FM hydrodynamic module, then the flow field diagram of the selected reach is drawn, the safety discharging on engineering measures for the river pollution treatment is discussed.
