In the information era both the hot spot and topic shall not be isolated from technical innovation. The wearable technology has been populated gradually, its research category was also expanded increasingly, there are more innovative results emerged continuously, and represented the crossover and integration of multiple disciplines. While the hardware integration level was higher and higher with smaller and smaller size, the research of wearable technology started to enter in fashion apparel field, enabled the intelligent apparel becoming the new direction for the development of fashion apparel design. The paper is surrounding the research project cooperated with University of Arts London, during the study in London Mary Queen's University. The research in Computer Science and Electronic Engineering Institute of London Mary Queen's University did take the technology as the means, to study the crossover of the design arts and technology. The Fashion Apparel School of University of Arts London has had the long history, it did not only have the design traditions in garment, fashion apparel and costumer of theater for hundred years, but also has the sound international reputation in the aspects of garment education, consultant and research. In the new information ear, they did advocate to study and learn the new methods and skills to get accommodated to the future development direction of the fashion.The essence of this project is to integrate the wearable technology, fashion and interactive design together, to study the new technical methods and skills applicable for the handwork fashion design in the school, its key part is the selection and introduction of the new technology, to learn how to incorporate the wearable technology into handwork fashion, so as to provide the new thought for the designer in designing and manufacturing the intelligent interactive handwork fashion garments.This paper can be divided into four parts:firstly to interpret the study background and significance of the project, to study the development of wearable technology at current period, the elements and principles for design of intelligent garments and handcrafts, and perform the specific analysis on existing intelligent hand bags, to make the foundation for the design study in next stage. The next is to study the selection on the hardware and software of wearable technology respectively, according to the designing principle of intelligent apparel to study user's demand, make the different human-machine interactive mode and interactive interface, to discuss the interaction among different sensors, and turn the study on single sensor to the mutual study on multiple sensors step by step. The whole system consists of Arduino Micro, pressure sensor, color sensor, LED and button. Furthermore, to study the integration of the technology and fashion, study the placement and protection methods for sensor, to study the sensitivity degree of the sensor placed in the pack through several tests. Finally to make the evaluation and study on the bag with interaction, to evaluate from the angle of fashion, technology and interaction respectively, by using the method of user interview and questionnaire survey to analyze and summarize the evaluation result.
