Smart times provide a lot of convenience in people's life.At the same time,the development and technology popularization of science has given rise to the peak of scientific and technological innovation.Wearable technology is one of the products of the smart times.With the expansion of research content and the proliferation of innovations that make wearable technology increasingly available in all areas.Digital jewelry has become a new direction of wearable in interdisciplinary science and technology research.This article focuses on a placement project that worked with the London College of fashion,during study in the Queen Mary University of London.The department of electronic engineering and computer science in Queen Mary University of London dedicated to the study of media and arts technology combined with interaction design,to find out more on the interdisciplinary research methods to explore the developing mode of human-computer interaction.London College of fashion is a long history school in the clothing design,production and fashion jewelry design and other aspects of the world leading level.With the enlargement of the technological innovation all fields impact on the world,the university of the London College of fashion began to research and explore the combination of fashion and technology,the technical elements to join fashion accessories,fashion become intelligent.The project is a combination of wearable technology and fashion accessories which is to develop wearable devices that are not powered by smart phones.Purpose is to explore found jewelry itself can expand the interaction of the possibility,learn how to embed the wearable technology small devices,fashion jewelry in interactive intelligent design and production for the result,science and technology innovation for interaction and fashion.Scenario-based digital jewelry is a core electronic module that can be worn everywhere.Depending on different scenario,it has many ways to wear it with corresponding function.For example,in a concert or in a bar,it can be worn as a necklace.When this core module is connected to the necklace which has a microphone,the LEDs in this module will flash with the volume and rhythm of the musical sound;In daily life,this module can be worn as a brooch on the clothes,there is a color sensor on the back of the brooch which can detect what color the user wear and the LEDs can show the color.In that case,this module will become the same color of user's clothes,or user's can choose what color they want to suit their clothes.In outdoor activities,this module can be treated as a bracelet.There is a compass on the bracelet,when the core module to be worn on a bracelet,the LEDs can indicate the direction of South.The article consists of four parts,the first part is the description of the source and the research meaning of the project,and the brief description of the project.The second part of jewelry design and wearable technology is analyzed,and existing intelligent jewelry for contrast,laid a theoretical foundation for the design of the project.The third part is the description of the design process of intelligent jewelry,first to the user's research,different application scenario analysis,and then the interactive system design.The design of intelligent jewelry from function selection of appearance is based on theory.Smart jewelry is a user-centric interactive product that is intended to meet the needs of its characters.The fourth part is the description of the production process and the evaluation of the finished product.The choice of hardware,the test of the sensor and the connection,through the development of software to realize the function of the intelligent jewelry.Through the study of the production of rival craft products,the shape of the product is manufactured by hand.Two user-based evaluations,from the shape,function,and interaction of intelligent jewelry,were evaluated and received feedback and evaluation from the user.
