This article introduces two latest trends of modern jewellery,3D printing and digital jewellery.The concepts and cases of these two technologies are introduced respectively.3D printing has many advantages,mainly releases the restrict of jewellery design in technology,this paper also presents the famous work in 3D printing of fashion industry.Digital jewellery is the combination of technology and aesthetics,so as to solve the problem of aesthetics of wearable devices,there has a number of such products in business,mostly concentrated in the utility function of phone calls and text messages of motion detection prompt.In this paper,the author uses 3D printing and Adafruit flora electronic components to design and make a deputy with simple interaction function named by Blink necklace,intending to combine the two lastest jewellery technology trends together,exploring the new digital jewellery prototype.Blink necklace's shape design is a combination of classical geometric elements,relates to its scope over the construction,pattern,clothing,jewelry design and other fields.In this paper,enumerating them by using the design,has established the aesthetic basis for shape design of the necklace.The necklace's material is 3D printing material,intended to combine the latest material trends,but also greatly enhance the efficiency of the production of jewelry prototype.Blink necklace's function is mainly interactive entertainment,on the market function of digital jewelry to add.Interactivity has three aspects: first,with the sound or music flashing;second is the wearer's heartbeat flashing;third is the same as the color of the nearby environment with the choice to change color.When the necklace is not worn,also can be used as a light,the structure of the necklace is telescopic,and can change the size in a certain range.The necklace has been tested by a series of group study and assessment,made into a suitable shape.After the completion of the 3D modeling,and select the appropriate 3D printer and material production is completed,and with the Flora Adafruit,sensors and LED RGB and other electronic components to complete the assembly.The author also designs a questionnaire to evaluate the necklace,a survey of the recommendations on this necklace,and some of the views on wearable technology and digital jewelry.In the questionnaire,there are some basic problems about traditional jewelry,wearable devices and digital jewelry,and these three products are compared.From these suggestions,the author finds out the advantages and disadvantages of this work,and some ideas about the wearable technology industry.From the questionnaire,the author collected some suggestions about the improvement of the necklace,and summarized the design direction and the plan.
