Silk fiber was traditionally called the "Fiber Queen" and was symbol of nobility reputation in the international market, but the silk fiber was easily wrinkled, and that seriously affected its quality. To solve this problem, three small molecules with multi-active functional groups were designed and synthesized according to "covalent cross-linking anti-wrinkle mechanism". T4S2 (with double dichloride-triazine groups and double sulfuric acid groups), T4S1 (with double dichloride-triazine groups and single single sulfuric acid group) and T2S1P2 (with double mono-chloride-trizaine groups and single sulfuric acid group). Anti-wrinkle agents adsorption and chemical bonding with silk fiber were studied, and the finishing process was optimized. Then the anti-wrinkle properties and wear-ability properties of the resulted fabrics were tested.Cyanuric chloride and m-phenylenediamine double (or single) acid were used to synthesis T4S1 or T4S2, and the reactions were monitored by Ehrlich reagent. T2S1P2 was synthesized by T4S1 and para-ester, and the extent of reaction was monitored by TLC. The purified products were characterized by infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The analysis results demonstrated their target structures.The optimized finishing processes for three anti-wrinkle agents were decided on the basis of fixation efficiency. T4S2 has double sulfuric acid groups, and shows weak affinity to silk fibers. Reactive groups are prone to hydrolysate, leading to low fixation efficiency, so the rolling drying process was selected. T4S1 has one sulfuric acid group, and exhibits moderate affinity towards fibers, while the reactive groups have high reactivity in alkaline environment, so the "one bath two-step process" was chosen. T2S1P2 exhibits high affinity towards silk fiber, and has moderate reactive group, so "one bath one step process" was most suitable.The weight fractions of three anti-wrinkle agents on silk fabrics were only 0.7%-0.9% when using the optimized processes, but dry crease recovery angle was greatly improved. T4S2 with the original fabric compared increased about 70°, T4S1 increased about 80°, and anti-wrinkle recovery angle with fixation efficiency increased, the recovery angle did not increase until fixation efficiency was 44.2%. T2S1P2 improved about 90°. Its molecular chain was long. Part reactive groups of the molecule on the silk hydrolyzed, so the relationship between crease recovery angle and fixation efficiency was not positive correlation. The wet anti-wrinkle was not as good as dry anti-wrinkle. T4S2 improved 20°. T4S1 improved 37°. T2S1P2 improved 40° Blue whiteness, breaking strength and stiffness of the finished silk fabric were totally remained.
