Cotton fabrics have many advantages, such as soft hand-feel,good moisture absorption and permeability, comfortable wearing, which favored by consumers. However, the cotton fabrics are liable to wrinkle during wearing and washing, which affects its appearance. In addition,in order to improve the gloss, cotton fabrics need to be mercerized. Therefore, the technologies of anti-wrinkle finishing and mercerizing of cotton fabrics are widely studied and applied in the textile industry. In this paper, different reactive dyestuffs, fixing bases, surfactants and PFA and other dyestuff auxiliaries were used to dye cotton fabrics. The effect of cross-linked dyeing was evaluated by cellulase degradation method. The color index,anti-wrinkle and gloss properties of dyed fabrics were studied.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffractometry(XRD)and infrared spectroscopy were used to characterize the changes in morphology and crystallinity before and after fiber crosssection dyeing, and the binding mechanism of cotton fiber and dye in the dyeing process was discussed. The results showed that the bifunctional reactive dyes could improve the anti-wrinkle properties of cotton fabrics. The more active dye active and the greater the distance between active groups, the better the wrinkle recovery of the cotton fabrics. The unstained cotton fiber has a flat ribbon structure in cross-section,and the cross-sectional structure of the bifunctional reactive dyes dyed cotton fiber became oval.Fabrics treated by PFA and dyes, the fabric's anti-wrinkle and gloss properties are significantly improved. The optimal treatment conditions are that the amount of the fixing base is 30g/L,the amount of dye is 50g/L,the amount of FMEE is 10g/L,steaming is carried out at 100°C for 3 minutes.Infrared spectrum analysis demonstrated that the dyes,PFA reacted with the hydroxyl groups on the cotton fibers.X-ray diffractometer(XRD)results showed little change in the degree of crystallinity of dyed cotton fibers comparing to the undyed fibers, indicating that reactive dyes reacted with hydroxyl groups on the fiber molecular chains in the amorphous region and did not change the crystallographic regions of the fibers. The smaller the absorbance of the enzyme-treated fabric residual solution, the greater the degree of crosslinking. After the enzyme treatment of the cotton fabric, the surface of the unstained cotton fiber became rough and even cracked, while the surface of the dyed cotton fiber did not change.
