Offshore platform is the offshore oil and gas development important support equipment. With the development of science and technology, offshore oil development gradually from early shallow to deeper waters, also design of offshore platform structure is larger and more complicated. Under the influence of the severe ocean environment load, the defects of the existing platform structure design are highlighted, and there have been many major accidents. In view of the design of offshore platform structure under the severe ocean environment, the limitations of the existing methods such as theoretical analysis, model test and numerical simulation are becoming increasingly prominent. How to design a more reasonable structure of the offshore platform to adapt to the harsh environment of the ocean, to ensure the safe production of the platform in the world has become the core issue of the development of marine engineering in the world. Taking the offshore platform structure as the carrier, the measurement, monitoring and experimental base of the prototype structure is built in the field, which can obtain the most real and complete structure. The measured data can provide important reference for the security of the service platform, analysis of the load and response characteristics of the structure and the design of the new platform. Therefore, the related research based on prototype structure can greatly promote the development of marine engineering structure, which has been widely concerned by scholars all over the world.Based on the prototype measurement and monitoring of offshore platform, this paper presents the concept of prototype experiment. Establishing the field laboratory in the service of the offshore platform structure, site measurement and monitoring of the real ocean environment loads, the dynamic response of platforms such as information, and the real offshore platform structure as the model structure of indoor experiment, through the analysis and extraction of field experimental data and get the experimental environmental load real similar to the indoor experiment of loading and experimental response. Finally, through the analysis of the prototype experiment, the design of the platform structure is verified, which provides the prototype experimental data for the new structure design. Firstly in order to solve the problem of ice load of jacket platforms were prototype experimental study, and based on the prototype experiment to establish the ice load model and ice induced vibration analysis method for the analysis of the new platform for the ice resistance numerical, to protect the ice resistance performance of new platform, this part is detailed in the second chapter of this article. Secondly, according to the soft yoke mooring FPSO and the semi submersible platform in the South China Sea to carry out the field prototype experimental study on the floating platform structure, essential factors of the ocean environment elements, floating attitude factors and structural response factors prototype experimental design and implementation, through on-site experimental data collation and analysis, master of the shallow water and deep ocean environment load characteristics, and based on the prototype experiment data of two kinds of structure design were evaluated. The contents of this section are detailed in the third chapter. Finally, according to the problems that the deep water riser system can not be carried out in the field prototype experiment, the method of laboratory prototype experiment is proposed. By the simplified study on the real load of the opposite pipe system, the establishment of the large tonnage vertical pipe system combined tension and bending fatigue test system, realized in the laboratory prototype of vertical pipe system combined tension and bending fatigue simulation, for deep vertical tube structure of the research provides a new way, this part of the work is detailed in the fourth chapter of this article.
