Titanium alloys have a series of advantages as excellent corrosion resistance,smaller density,higher specific strength and so on.Titanium alloys are widely used in aerospace,petrochemical,shipbuilding,automobile,pharmaceutical and other departments.The processing efficiency and processing quality are very low in the actual production because it is a typical difficult to machine materials.The study carries out a series of experimental research based on TC4 titanium alloy,the research contents are as follows:Firstly,the study summarized the research status at present of high speed cutting.Secondly,through the early research and reference data we carried out a series of orthogonal milling experiments of TC4 titanium alloy in Kunming Machine Tool.According to the different speed range,different models of cutting tool and different methods of milling designed a series of three factors-four levels orthogonal milling experiment of titanium alloy TC4 and measured the data of cutting force and surface roughness.Through experiment data this study analyzed the influence of various factors on cutting force and surface roughness.This study got the suitable milling type and milling cutter through experimental data.Through the evaluation index of signal-to-noise ratio we obtained several optimal cutting parameters,and optimized the cutting parameters by genetic algorithm in the same time.And then designed the verification tests verified the optimal cutting parameters in the study.In order to establish TC4 titanium alloy milling force predictive model and surface roughness predictive model in specific processing conditions the study designed cutting tests based on orthogonal.Through variance analysis concluded that the regression effect of the predictive model is highly significant.And then designed the verification test,the test results indicated that predicted value is closed to the test value.The results show that the predictive model is effective within a certain common range.In the end,used the AdvantEdge FEM metal cutting simulation software to simulate the milling process.The test results concluded the milling force,milling temperature and the shape of the chip.Through the research of the milling process of TC4 titanium alloy has a certain reference value to enterprise in engineering applications.Especially for a new product it is necessary to carry out a series of testing and provide users with cutting data have important reference meaning.
