Since twenty-first Century, China's steel industry is developing rapidly, the equipment to the large-scale, super large-scale development, the level of automation and control synchronization has achieved rapid development. But due to technical characteristics, the iron and steel industry in large blast furnace, converter, large electric furnace, large LF ladle refining furnace and various types of roughing mill load has large capacity, voltage fluctuation, frequent start and stop, the impact on the grid, low power factor, resulting in power system voltage distortion, voltage fluctuation and flicker, frequency deviation, voltage deviation and three-phase voltage unbalance increases, has seriously affected the safety of power supply enterprises; at the same time, due to various nonlinear impact load and unbalanced load(harmonics)application, the pollution of harmonics is becoming increasingly serious, the enterprise not only reduced the power quality, the safe operation is threat to the power system.The in Xinsteel 3#LF furnace electrical load and rolling mill in medium plate plant of electricity load characteristics and the main parameters are analyzed, assess the impact load disturbance(nonlinear, shock, unbalanced three-phase loads and so on)to the power supply system of electric energy quality, and the harmonic power flow, harmonic impedance, fuck overvoltage simulation calculation, given the corresponding simulation results.In this paper, the working principle of Static Var Compensator(SVC)and engineering design are studied deeply, and the SVC design process and the method of parameter calculation and the selection of equipment performance parameters are summarized in this paper.In this paper, the SVC control system is analyzed in detail, and the structure design is systematically studied, and the principle and characteristics of SVC control system are summarized.Through and professional factory cooperation, the simulation calculation is carried out for the same bus harmonic resonance problem and to optimize the design process of the control system, effectively prevent harmonic resonance phenomenon, Xinyu Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. No.1 Steelmaking Plant 3#LF furnace engineering of SVC the smooth implementation of the project, Safe and reliable running a good foundation.
