Ultra-thin diamond cutting tool has the characteristics of high cutting speed,high cutting precision,small moment of inertia and so on.It can effectively reduce the phenomenon occurrence of chipping,nicks,cracking and so on.Therefore,it is especially suitable for the cutting and grooving of precision optical glass and electronic components.Currently,ultra-thin diamond cutting tools of Japan and the United States has the best combination property,but the cutting tool prices is the highest.The domestic ultra-thin diamond tool has poor performance with low price and low cost performance,so that it has poor international market competitiveness.The uneven distribution of diamond powder and greater porosity of the cutter are easy to cause unstable cutting performance and low machining accuracy and chipping or breakage failure phenomena.Unevenness density of the compact is also easy to cause the warping phenomenon,These defects will lead to higher rate of defective production and poor performance of the tool.The survey found that in domestic sintering manufacture process of ultra-thin diamond tool,the powder material mixing,weighing,loading and spreading process is completed by manual,The instability of manual operation directly result the uniformity and consistency of the mixture can not be Achieved in the mold.And the natural accumulation of paving technology can not reduce the porosity of the mixture powder.This has a serious impact on the subsequent sintering process,Which leads to the production of cutting tool rejection rate is high,and the overall performance is poor.This paper researched the distribution characteristics of diamond mixed powder particles in mold tool by experiments,and designed a set of automatic material distributing equipment which can achieve automatic metering,conveying,material collapse and paving materials.Using modeling software Solidworks establish 3D model of fabric equipment,apply discrete element theory,simulate the model by EDEM software,ensure the motion characteristic parameters,and manufacture the experimental equipment.Through the product experiment prove that the equipment can effectively improve the mixing material in the moldmaterial uniformity and consistency.In order to improve the overall durability of the tool and the stability of the cutting tool,strengthen the market competition of diamond tools and saving the cost of purchasing enterprises.
