Blast furnace injection was an important technical means which could reduce blast furnace coke to save the cost of production in the blast furnace production.Using a variety of material properties and resource conditions, mixed injection could overcome so many shortcomings of single raw material injection that make different material strengths complementary and improve combustion performance of injection materials which could improve the injection, reducing iron-production costs, and improve economic benefit. According to present condition of company's blast furnace injection resources of materials and semi-coke, this paper analyzed characterization of injection resources, compared three semi-cokes from different districts, and finally selected optimal one to replace part of anthracite. We set several prepared injection schemes, then tested schemes' performance of the grind-ability, ignition point, explosive properties, combustion and fluidity to determine the optimal scheme. The study showed that blast furnace injection schemes blended with a certain proportion of semi-coke A which properties were similar to anthracite was appropriate, when the injection scheme that Semi-coke A : Anthracite : Long-flame coal : Coke powder =15 : 38 : 40 : 7, the proximate analysis, grinding performance, fluidity performance, combustion performance and safety performance of this injection scheme were better than other schemes. In the blast furnace production practice, the use of semi-coke into injection, could effectively reduce blast furnace slag-iron ratio and coke ratio, reduce mechanical loss of blast furnace, and improve fuel ratio and production efficiency to continue applying into industry.
